All the while, you will gain extensive hands-on experience, enhance your skills and explore the numerous professional development resources offered by Cleveland Clinic.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. with rotating weekend requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide assessment, treatment, care and evaluation to patients with respiratory insufficiencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct respiratory caregivers for delivery of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement and monitor patient care plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop, implement and monitor patient care plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, evaluate respiratory practice, administer medications and treatments, and perform blood gas puncture and analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients and families about the illness and provide information about community support groups and other programs.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care</p> </li><li> <p>Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Assocation (AHA)</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in critical care</p> </li><li> <p>Neonatal/pediatric experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience performing invasive procedures preferred when appropriate for site</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
