<p>Specialist I - PEIMS ES</p> <p>Job Status: UNTIL FILLED Posting Date: 12/15/2025 Posting Number: 013317 Location: Boon Elementary Position Title: Specialist I - PEIMS ES Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Principal</p> <p>Primary Purpose:</p> <p>To provide a well-organized smoothly functioning office environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.</p> <p>Qualifications: Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li></ul> <p>Special Knowledge/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Successful experience in working with children </li><li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration might find appropriate and acceptable </li></ul> <p>Major Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Helps prepare attendance reports and records. </li><li>Assists the teacher in collecting and accounting for money brought by pupils. </li><li>Helps the teacher complete various reports and records. </li><li>Helps process grades, report cards, and related records. </li><li>Helps maintain pupil cumulative records. </li><li>Aids in filing work sheets and resource materials. </li><li>Typing teacher correspondence to parents. </li><li>Typing instructional materials. </li><li>Makes arrangements for and operates audio-visual equipment. </li><li>Assists in health screening. </li><li>Runs errands related to class operations. </li><li>Performs other duties as superintendent may assign. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>None.</p> <p>Customer Care Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff and other professionals at all times. </li><li>Use proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and clearly. Take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff. </li><li>Ensure superior customer care skills are used via eye contact, facial expressions, voice inflections, body language, and an attitude of "going the extra mile" for others. </li><li>Ensure all requests for information are dealt with in an appropriate timeframe. </li><li>Create and maintain a welcoming, service-oriented environment toward all internal and external customers. </li></ul> <p>Mental Demands/Physical Demands:</p> <p>Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.</p> <p>Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting</p> <p>Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching</p> <p>Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)</p> <p>Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent districtwide travel; occasional statewide travel and out-of-state travel</p> <p>Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress</p> <p>Salary: Pay Grade AS03, $17.48 - $20.80 hourly rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.</p> <p>Days: 200 Start Date: 2025-12-09 00:00:00.000</p>
