<p>Summary: Reporting to the VP, Head of Global Procurement, the Procurement Advancement Lead will be responsible for managing all of our operational needs while leading a set of complex/strategic projects that enable growth across the Global Procurement team. The individual will have significant interaction with Sr leadership to drive improved operations in support of the overall organization. Specifically, he/she will be expected to lead through complex/strategic initiatives, manage the functional operating cadence and reporting, budget planning and maintenance, develop strong internal and external relationships, and lead the development of a performance driven operating model.</p> <p>Applicants should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, possess problem-solving skills and will have demonstrated learning agility. The individual should have proven ability to quickly build subject matter expertise and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the ability to persevere through ambiguity; an innate inquisitiveness; possess the drive to extend analytical capabilities; and have demonstrated emergent leadership capabilities.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Serves as the internal functional partner to identify, assess and implement new initiatives across the Global Procurement organization to drive our overall growth strategy. </li><li>Leads and supports the development and ownership of functional operating procedures. Identifies training needs on a global basis, develops specific learning modules and delivers to the team as necessary. </li><li>Develops and manages the overall operating cadence for the Global Procurement organization, including key internal team meetings, business/functional reviews, budgeting/planning cycle and key supplier reviews. </li><li>Facilitates and coordinates development of functional goals and objectives, including savings targets, resource optimization goals and process evolution plans to ensure best-in-class functional performance. Coordinates closely with corporate planning to ensure functional budget plan and performance align corporate objectives and expectation. Conducts regular forecasting exercise to ensure budget targets are met. </li><li>Develops and implements performance reports and metrics regarding worldwide sourcing and shared services activities as well as anticipated changes. </li><li>Organizes and co-ordinates the periodic issuance of market/commodity reports, performance status reports, tracking results against goals (functional priorities, long-range planning (LRP), and continuous improvement, CIP). </li><li>Ensures effective communication, coordination and cooperation between the function and other functions (Internal control, H&S, FP&A, legal, IT). Builds relationships and develops open communications with regional and global management and other functions. </li><li>Serve as the process and policy owner for the Global Procurement organization </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to develop and interpret charts.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability:</p> <p>Perform under pressure and/or opposition at times relying on your own independent judgment and knowledge to decide the best directions and solutions.</p> <p>Computer Skills:</p> <p>Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, database software</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>This position will have one direct report</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
