<p>We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer II to help expand our data engineering capabilities. In this hands-on role, you'll contribute to the evolution of our data platform-building and improving the systems that power internal analytics and customer-facing intelligence. You'll collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to ensure data is structured, secure, and ready to support our growth.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to join a foundational team and build scalable pipelines, data platform capabilities, and infrastructure that enable trusted insights. Your work will support both operational reporting and product analytics, while contributing to a growing data function.</p> <p>Teamwork and shared enthusiasm is a core part of our culture, which is why this role involves joining us in the Boston office for two days each week</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>Platform & Infrastructure</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to Data Platform Evolution - Help build and scale a robust, flexible platform that enables analytics and data-driven experiences across our products. </li><li>Build Scalable Data Infrastructure - Develop reliable systems to ingest, transform, store, and serve data using batch and near real-time approaches. </li><li>Deliver Trusted Data Pipelines - Build and maintain resilient, observable pipelines that connect APIs, databases, and event streams across internal and customer-facing use cases. </li><li>Support Data Quality & Observability - Help advance practices in validation, monitoring, and governance to ensure high-quality and trustworthy data systems. </li></ul> <p>Enablement & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Partner Across Teams - Work closely with analytics, product, and engineering to ensure data pipelines are structured, governed, and optimized to support key use cases. </li><li>Contribute to Shared Data Models - Collaborate on well-documented, maintainable data models that meet the needs of multiple teams and stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Team & Technical Growth</p> <ul> <li>Mentor and Contribute to Engineering Culture - Share best practices, contribute to standards, and support a collaborative, high-quality data engineering discipline. </li><li>Explore and Introduce New Tools - Help evaluate new technologies and contribute to the evolution of our platform as our needs grow. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Data Engineering Experience - 5+ years of experience building data systems, including hands-on work with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and SQL performance tuning. </li><li>Strong AWS Foundation - Familiarity with AWS services including Aurora, S3, Lambda, and Terraform. You know your way around the ecosystem and can apply these tools pragmatically. </li><li>Modern Data Stack Familiarity - Experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, and Redshift or Snowflake for transformation and orchestration. </li><li>Code-First Data Engineering - Comfort writing pipelines and workflows in Python or similar languages. You see data engineering as software engineering. </li><li>Focus on Security and Governance - Experience working with sensitive data, implementing role-based access control, and ensuring data privacy and auditability. </li><li>Collaborative Approach - Ability to work closely with cross-functional partners and translate ambiguous problems into clear engineering solutions. </li><li>Bonus Experience </li><li>Experience supporting or building analytics platforms for end users or product-facing features. </li><li>Exposure to streaming or real-time data pipelines. </li><li>Familiarity with dbt for transformation logic and data modeling. </li></ul>
