<p>Overview & Responsibilities</p> <p>This position will assist, as assigned, the various production operators, skilled trades and other production and maintenance personnel in various functions to increase safety, quality, and productivity.</p> <p>Tooling: Forklift and other material handling equipment, handheld tools, power tools, measuring devices, floor sweepers and other machinery/tools as needed.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Receives instruction from production and maintenance personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>General maintenance and operational support duties as assigned including, but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>General housekeeping duties in shop areas and building grounds.</p> </li><li> <p>General painting.</p> </li><li> <p>Trash collection and disposal.</p> </li><li> <p>General landscaping and weeding.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleaning machines.</p> </li><li> <p>Simple preventive maintenance duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists skilled trades or machine operators in various manual tasks such as grinding, work area clean up, degreasing parts, carrying machine parts or tools, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Retrieves and deliver tools, fixtures, drawings, parts.</p> </li><li> <p>Moves skids, pars, trash, chip hoppers, etc., with fork truck as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates hoists as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Required to work from ladders or scaffolds.</p> </li><li> <p>Collects data and does simple computer transactions as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Unload trucks</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with machine and test set-ups/tear downs.</p> </li><li> <p>Runs errands as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Observes all safety rules.</p> </li><li> <p>May be temporarily transferred to other direct and indirect positions.</p> </li></ul> <p>The above list reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all of the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be available to work all shifts and overtime as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience in a heavy manufacturing environment strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have the aptitude to learn and assist as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>Ebara Elliott Energy is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by the federal, state or local laws of the United States.
