Innovation.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>This 25-hour a week, part-time position works closely with the Program Coordinator to arrange, manage and supervise all clinical rotations for Paramedic Students.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Hold clinical meetings prior to the beginning of each semester to prepare students. </li><li>Track students clinical paperwork, health clearances and background check and drug test clearances and submit paperwork to hospitals in a timely manner. </li><li>Function as liaison between hospitals and field agencies with DCC. </li><li>Coordinate hospital clinical and field internship assignments with area hospitals, EMS agencies, fire departments for PAR and EMB101 rotations. </li><li>Create course and individual class shells for each clinical class in database management system. </li><li>Work with students to schedule hospital and field internship rotations as needed each semester. </li><li>Available to meet with students on a regular basis to answer questions or counsel as needed. </li><li>Visit and check on students on regular basis at clinical sites (more frequently during 1st and 2nd week rotations). Assign other instructors to check on students on an as needed basis. </li><li>Schedule periodic student appointments to monitor progress in clinical course. </li><li>Review narrative's periodically throughout each clinical course for each student and provide feedback for improvement. </li><li>Review and approve clinical data for each student in the database. </li><li>Return all clinical data that is inaccurate and then regrade after resubmission. </li><li>Run reports to show student completion of all requirements every semester. </li><li>Grade all binders at the end of each semester and submit grades on-time. </li><li>Train all preceptors and maintain preceptor training records. </li><li>Assist Program Coordinator in completing the reports for accreditation at the completion of each Paramedic cohort. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Credentials:</p> <ul> <li>Paramedic with at least five years of field experience. </li><li>Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets and databases. </li><li>Ability to travel to off-site locations. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>The Part time Paramedic Clinical Coordinator is a 25 hour per week position to report during the hours of 8 am - 2 pm with specific hours to be determined by the employee and supervisor based on current departmental needs.</p> <p>Classification / Salary:</p> <p>Classification: DUE / Part time Non-teaching Educator</p> <p>Salary: $36.83 per hour</p> <p>All applicants are subject to a background check to include criminal, employment, and education.</p> <p>Dutchess Community College is an AA/EOE employer.
