<p>American Heritage Credit Union, a $5 billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Member Solutions Representative (Collector). This position is responsible for the control of delinquent loan accounts and pending late payment reminders. Makes follow-up telephone calls on delinquent loan accounts and maintains accurate records on delinquent loan accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n</p> <p>Responsibilities Include:<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n</p> <p>\n</p> <ul> <li>Follow up on delinquent, high-balance, and credit balance accounts by phone and\/or letter.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Contact delinquent members by telephone and mail to determine the reasons for delinquency and assist them in developing plans to bring accounts to a current status.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Notify co-signers regarding status of delinquent accounts.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Update and log activity on accounts through delinquent loan recovery system.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Apply loan payments to delinquent loans.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Works directly with recovery companies to secure the credit union's collateral. Secures vehicle once in our possession. <\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Secure credit bureau reports.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Research payroll deductions, stops, start, and changes as they may affect the status of a loan repayment.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Calculate and correct payments for error corrections on loan accounts.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Skip traces on loan accounts and communicates with other institutions when they are skip tracing on members.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Review loan applications and credit bureau reports for references and job information pertinent to the debtor.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Prepare a detailed report of each delinquent account. <\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Review loans for possible modification or extension due to a member's financial hardship. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n </li></ul> <p>Requirements Include:<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n</p> <p>\n</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in a collection environment, preferably within a financial institution.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Must be flexible and available to work evening and Saturday hours.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Must possess excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office package (WORD, EXCEL etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Knowledge of Akcelerant Collection Software a plus.<\/span><\/li>\n </li><li>Spanish speaking a plus. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n </li></ul> <p>\n</p> <p>Our commitment to your success is enhanced by our competitive salary commensurate with experience and an extensive benefits package including paid time off, health benefits, 401(k) with a generous company match, and future growth opportunities within the company.
