<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Summer and Extended School Year/ESY Coordinator</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>3/9/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District Wide</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Approximately July 1, 2025- August 09, 2025, up to 6 Hours/Day X 20 Days</p> <p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: To direct the Summer School ESY Program</p> <p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This description of the position of ESY Coordinator is for identification and administrative purposes only. It is not intended to be a complete statement of all duties, which may be assigned or adjusted by the Superintendent of Schools according to varying needs.</p> <ul> <li>Supervise licensed teachers, paraprofessionals, related service personnel and volunteers. </li><li>Performs various duties related to schedules of students and their related services. </li><li>Coordinate schedules for all staff, including set up date, for up to 8 hours. </li><li>Facilitate in-service training programs prior to the start of ESY. </li><li>Arrange training for bus monitors, attend training. </li><li>Maintain safety of all transportation services and await all-clear from transportation company daily. </li><li>Perform other duties as specified by the Director of Special Services. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Staff Member, as set by the State of CT certification requirements. </li><li>Supervisory experience. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual, Spanish and English. </li><li>Experience facilitating training. </li><li>Experience coordinating scheduling. </li><li>Experience as a Lead Teacher or Administrator. </li><li>Certified Special Education Teacher. </li><li>Connecticut Administrator Certification (092). </li></ul> <p>New London Public School District is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.</p> <p>Candidates from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.</p>
