<p>GCESC Special Education Supervisor assigned to Xenia Community School District</p> <p>Part time - 3 days per week, 126 days</p> <p>Salary-- dependent on experience/education-- range $47,875 to $57,600</p> <p>Please upload an updated resume', at least three references/contacts, and copies of all Ohio State Board of Education licensure related to this position -- attach these within the application process.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate State of Ohio Administrative License -- SBOE Principal, Supervisor, or Superintendent and Special Education License (preferred) </li><li>Master's degree in Education, Special Education and/or Educational Administration </li><li>Experience in teaching, administration and special education. </li><li>Excellent skills in communication, team work, and ability to work autonomously </li><li>Expertise in all aspects of Special Education, IDEIA, IEPS, ETRS, and intervention </li><li>Trained on ODEW's OTES/eTPES/Ohio Evaluation System </li><li>Excellent attendance record in previous positions </li></ul> <p>General Description:</p> <p>To substantially and effectively assist District in task of providing leadership and guidance in special education programs and services. Administers, coordinates, plans, supervises, and evaluates special education-related activities as assigned while working in the District.</p> <p>General Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the organization/operation of District's special education programs in conjunction with administrators, school psychologists, teachers, GCESC staff, local agencies, transportation depts.-as is necessary for each situation. </li><li>Chairs IEP meetings /serves as District representative for IEP/ETR meetings as deemed necessary by District </li><li>Schedules times for IEP completion, annual review and placement meetings. </li><li>Provides counsel/assistance to teachers/therapists in assessment &writing IEPs. </li><li>Maintains management system for all special education students.on caseload (i.e. identification, evaluation, IEP development, placement and periodic review of children with disabilities) </li><li>Maintains communication and adequate records for the Districts/programs </li><li>Participates in the evaluation of personnel as assigned by District </li><li>Assists in implementation of school policies/procedures relating to federal/ state laws for special education. </li><li>Serves as a consultant to administration/staff in regard to spec. education matters as deemed appropriate by the district </li></ul> <p>Other Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual. </li><li>Remains free from any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in workplace throughout employment </li><li>Subscribes to the annual evaluation process. </li></ul>
