All employees within the Office of the Kansas Attorney General are expected to perform work duties in an objective, unbiased, and independent manner.</p> <p>Primary Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Develop, maintain, and update educational materials and resources regarding sexual extortion as defined in K.S.A. 21-5515 for students, parents, educators, law enforcement, and the public. </li><li>Coordinate statewide education and awareness efforts related to sexual extortion prevention, including development and implementation of outreach strategies and public information campaigns. </li><li>Collaborate with the Kansas State Board of Education, school districts, and educational stakeholders to facilitate distribution and use of educational materials in schools statewide. </li><li>Partner with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, victim service providers, and community organizations to promote awareness, prevention, and response to sexual extortion. </li><li>Provide training, presentations, and technical assistance to schools, educators, law enforcement, and community partners on sexual extortion prevention, reporting, and response. </li><li>Serve as the Attorney General's Office subject matter expert and liaison on sexual extortion education and prevention, responding to requests for information, training, and resources. </li><li>Develop and maintain systems to track outreach activities, educational material distribution, training participation, and program outcomes. </li><li>Monitor emerging trends, best practices, and legislative developments related to sexual extortion and youth online safety to inform program improvements. </li><li>Prepare and submit an annual report, on or before July 1, 2027, and annually thereafter, regarding implementation and outreach efforts to the Governor, President and Minority Leader of the Senate, Speaker and Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, and the State Board of Education. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned to support youth safety, prevention, and Attorney General's Office initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties: Additional duties may be added at any time. We would expect you to follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties as requested.</p> <p>Minimum Requirement(s):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in education, criminal justice, public administration, communications, social work, public health, or a related field</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in one or more of the following areas:</p> </li><li> <p>Education or training development</p> </li><li> <p>Public outreach or community engagement</p> </li><li> <p>Youth services or victim services</p> </li><li> <p>Law enforcement or school collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Program coordination or project management</p> </li><li> <p>Strong proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel applications required.</p> </li><li> <p>A valid driver's license is required when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirement(s):</p> <ul> <li>Strong public speaking and presentation skills, including ability to deliver trainings and represent the Office at statewide events. </li><li>Strong written communication skills, including report writing, educational content development, and professional correspondence. </li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with schools, law enforcement agencies, state agencies, and community organizations. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to analyze program data and prepare summaries and reports for leadership and statutory reporting requirements. </li><li>Ability to exercise professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when working with sensitive subject matter. </li><li>Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. </li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to travel statewide for outreach, training, and partnership development. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including youth, educators, policymakers, and community stakeholders. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. </li><li>Ability to adapt to changing priorities and emerging trends in youth safety and prevention. </li></ul> <p>Travel: You may need to travel to locations to competently and diligently discharge the assigned duties. The pre-employment screening process will be waived for current OAG personnel who have previously completed the screening requirements. </li><li>In this position you would be authorized access to private information to the extent necessary to perform the assigned duties. Employees of the OAG are required to protect against unauthorized access to such information, ensure the security and privacy of such information, and disclose any anticipated threats or hazards to such information. Employees must be very careful not to release this information to the public or to other individuals, including but not limited to OAG employees who have not been authorized or who do not have a legitimate organizational, departmental, or business need to know. Any questions regarding release of such information to another person should be directed to the employee's supervisor. </li><li>State of Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate. A valid Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate is a condition of employment for all employees of the Office of Kansas Attorney General.
