In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.</p> <p>We are searching for the best talent for a Polish Team Lead in Raynham, MA.</p> <p>The Polish Team Lead operates diverse types of machinery in an assigned cell to produce various types of Medical instruments and implants. Equipment used depends on the product being manufactured or the operation being performed and may vary from cell to cell or department. Under the direction of the cell lead, works to ensure production requirements are met, product quality is maintained, machine maintenance schedules are adhered to and safety rules are followed. Secondary responsibility is to act in a leadership role performing other duties as outlined by the cell management staff; and coordinating with other production leads, cell associates, and management personnel to ensure consistency, accuracy, and continuity within operations. Responsibilities also include proactively contributing to and leading continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and cost; acting as the go-to person within the functional area; and serving as a backup for the supervisor when required.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>This is not meant as an all-inclusive list but a top-level list of duties that this person generally completes. It is also understood that an associate may receive special projects outside of this list.</p> <ul> <li>Operates diverse types of equipment used to manufacture various types of Medical Devices established within the manufacturing processes and quality requirements. </li><li>Operations being performed depend on cell assignment and the product being manufactured but may include and are not limited to, cutting raw material, drilling, milling, bending, deburring, buffing, laser etching, wax injection, dipping, dewax, pouring, assembly or packaging/labeling. </li><li>Equipment used may be but not limited to CNC, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, CMM, Grinding, Drags, Manual, or automatic and includes, but is not limited to, various types of lathes, mills, grinders, vibratory machines, drill presses, bead blaster, grinding wheels, buffer, bench presses, laser etching machines, assembly equipment, pack/labeling equipment, etc. The equipment used depends on the product being manufactured or the operation being performed. The operator will inspect the finished and in-process products for dimensional and cosmetic attributes according to defined specifications. The operator will also assemble, package, and label various orthopedic medical devices following specific procedures, and operate various manual and semi-automatic packaging equipment </li><li>All operators use various types of measuring instruments including, numerous types of gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, pH meters, go/ no-go gages, conductivity meters, visual inspection, and digital titrators for chemical analysis. </li><li>All operators use diverse types of hand tools but not limited to wrenches, screwdrivers, deburr knives etc. </li><li>Operator Asset Care on a regular basis, such as, but not limited to, checking and replacing coolant, checking fluid oils, emptying metal chips, maintenance regarding equipment breakdowns, belt changing, and process chemical maintenance. </li><li>Completes rework, as necessary, on products rejected by a process in the specification. Works with other production areas and cell leaders, as necessary, to resolve quality problems. </li><li>Works following appropriate safety practices to prevent accidents to self or co-workers. </li><li>Know and follow all policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance at all times. </li><li>Ensures that in-process quality checks are completed following established quality specifications. Interface with quality and other production employees to resolve problems. </li><li>Works in accordance with all requirements for manufacturing medical devices (e.g. FDA QSR, ISO 9000, ISO 13485). </li><li>Completes required documentation as required by the process, and inspection sheets, work instructions, and document traceability. </li><li>Lifting, 5 to 25 pounds, is required on a regular basis and heavy lifting, over 50 pounds, is required on occasion. </li><li>Ability to learn and adhere to specific procedures according to the department training plan. </li><li>Sets the standard for production performance, effective communication, promoting positive morale, and supporting employee involvement programs. </li><li>Works with the PP&L group to ensure completion of production schedule and resource allocation for unscheduled events, i.e. call-outs. </li><li>Develops and regularly reports on department metrics, including OEE, production output, equipment downtime, continuous improvement activities, safety improvements, and other departmental tracking as defined by the Business Unit. </li><li>Monitors machine downtime and escalates repairs through Maximo. </li><li>Monitors and maintains operating supply inventories, as assigned by the supervisor. </li><li>Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance at all times. </li><li>Partners with the engineering team to ensure completion of expansion & validation activities in a timely manner, acting as subject matter expert where applicable or providing a correct point of contact to the operator subject matter expert. </li><li>Supports department communications, including Daily Direction Setting and ad-hoc announcements, and actively participates in feedback sessions with questions and knowledge of the department's current state. </li><li>Maintaining training by keeping up with the training matrix. </li><li>Acts as a change agent, remaining open-minded in a continually changing environment. </li><li>Escalates machining and personnel issues interfering with seamless production to supervisor. </li><li>Follow all applicable EHSS policies and procedures which include PPE, work practices, and control measures. Promptly report EHSS Incidents and Good Saves Complete EHSS training and CAPAs on time. Ensure department waste is segregated for proper disposal (recycle vs trash). </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. </li><li>At least 6 years of hands-on experience in applicable manufacturing. </li><li>Ability to read, comprehend, and apply documentation such as safety, operating, and maintenance instructions. </li><li>Must be amenable to working from Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6 AM. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li> <p>The anticipated base pay range for this position is 55,000 to 88,550.</p> </li><li> <p>The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year.
