<p>Job Description</p> <p>ECU Health</p> <p>About ECU Health SurgiCenter</p> <p>ECU Health SurgiCenter is a freestanding facility with a multi-specialty staff of approximately 200 physicians, all guided by a single goal: to provide quality outpatient surgical care in a patient- and family-centered environment. Performing more than 12,000 outpatient surgical procedures a year, the facility offers a convenientand clinically excellentalternative to inpatient hospitalization for a wide range of surgical procedures. Outpatient procedures are performed in eight modern, well-equipped suites by surgeons specializing in dental and oral surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, general and plastic surgery, gynecology, podiatry, neurosurgery, urology and more.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Perform analysis/reanalysis of Inpatient/Outpatient Rehab. and/or Emergency Department medical records via the imaging system. In addition, performs qualitative analysis on Inpatient/Outpatient Rehab and/or Emergency Department records via the imaging system. Performs medical record deficiency assignment utilizing imaging system-generated reports. Works the 24 hour op note list duplicate number correction, as directed. Responsible for the pickup, prep, scan, and QR of Inpatient/Outpatient Rehab and/or ED records (legal medical record). Also for the processing of non-interfaced transcribed reports into the imaged (legal) medical record and responsible for correcting any indexing errors found within the legal medical record. Must develop and maintain ability to perform within multiple applications of the imaged medical record system.</p> <p>Provide training on the imaging system. Must be able to provide training on the imaging system. Utilizes departmental computer systems to access protected health information. Serve as a resource for other employees who have questions regarding Imaging Services processes.</p> <p>Uses various computer equipment efficiently to complete assignments. As requested, perform new employee training and quality reviews.
