<p>Overview</p> <p>VTG is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support our Virginia Beach location.</p> <p>What will you do?</p> <p>The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is a procurement-centric role with elements of administering material sourcing, obsolescence mitigation, production support, and end of life item support. This role will coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization.</p> <ul> <li>Monitors availability of material, equipment, and tools to ensure that the proper resources are available as needed. </li><li>Analyzes estimates against historical data, identifies and investigates reasons for differences. </li><li>Provides material status by running reports from the Material Management System, Financial Accounting system, and input from the Material Coordinator and Purchasing Manager. </li><li>Perform material sourcing awarded and in support of RFP responses. </li><li>Review technical drawings in support of development of accurate Bill of Materials. </li><li>Examines material to verify conformance to specifications, including technical inspections. </li><li>Perform other logistical tasks as assigned. </li><li>Coordinate and communicate with various vendors regarding material needs. </li></ul> <p>Do you have what it takes?</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior defense contracting or military experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills:</p> <ul> <li>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. </li></ul> <p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain a Security clearance, valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>Other Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Some travel required </li></ul>
