<p>Description:</p> <p>Hamilton Local School District is seeking a Maintenance/Certified Diesel Mechanic, who is organized, efficient, and self-motivated. If you would like to work in one of Central Ohio's Top Workplaces, we want to hear from you! The contract is for 260 day contact/ 8 hours a day to start on immediately. Base rate of pay is $22.43 as per the OAPSE Negotiated Agreement.</p> <p>You will be contacted for an interview should your qualifications match our district needs.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) </li><li>Ability to provide Certified Diesel Mechanic Certification </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Maintenance and upkeep of district vehicles, including but not limited to School Bus, School Vans and district Fleet Vehicles. </li><li>Experience or knowledge of all building trade skills </li><li>Perform normal operator adjustments and service to facility equipment such as, but not limited to, compressors, HVAC System, and assist in maintaining records on operational and maintenance activities </li><li>Assume primary responsibility for the safe conditions of electric elements in the facilities owned or operated by the school district </li><li>Perform general maintenance work inside and outside the physical plant such as ceiling, roof, electrical, welding, plumbing, concrete, masonry, glazing, insulation, tile, pump, and fan repairs </li><li>Perform general labor inside and outside the physical plant including districtwide groundskeeping, handling materials and supplies, moving equipment, operating power-driver equipment, truck driving, snow plowing, mowing, etc. </li><li>Recommend supplies and equipment for purchase </li><li>Conduct periodical inspections of the facilities </li><li>Assemble and install educational equipment </li><li>Assist with custodial or maintenance duties </li></ul> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Please complete the employment application through this online system.</p> <p>Any questions please contact Chrys Thompson, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent at 614.491.8044 ext. 1202 or email: cthompson@hlsd.org</p>
