<p>Our Evansville location is looking for an experienced Winder to join the team! The Winder III role will be responsible to rewind various kinds of complex and non-routine electromechanical equipment including removing original winding, inspecting for winding failure damage, recording data from original winding, making new coils, winding and performing voltage testing on windings. This position will also train Winder I & II's.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Winder - Performs under little to no supervision. </li></ul> <p>o Read winding data card for each job.</p> <p>o Prototype coils with Coil Manufacturing Foreman on AC and DC components not previously wound in-house. Review winding data on all AC and DC components with existing data from previously wound components.</p> <p>o Finalize wedges including overseeing any wedges made by co-workers including Technicians and/or Winders. Ensure wedges have proper slot fit and verify correct materials were used to make the wedges.</p> <p>o Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.</p> <p>o Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.</p> <p>o Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage, and/or unusual conditions.</p> <p>o Rewind complex AC and DC components observing proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding process.</p> <p>o Test complex rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA and customer standards and document test results.</p> <p>o Document/record all relevant data specific to unit's electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions existing damager, or intended serviceability.</p> <p>o Complete paperwork for each job accurately and in a timely basis.</p> <p>o Operate specified repair and testing equipment including but not limited to winding machines, surge testers, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems, and various hand held power and non power tools.</p> <ul> <li>Other </li></ul> <p>o Train and provide guidance to Winder I and II's.</p> <p>o Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment including eye, ear, and hand protection.</p> <p>o Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.</p> <p>o Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.</p> <p>o Promote strong company image and maintain positive working relationships at all times including professional behavior with customers (very infrequent) and co-workers throughout the department and other departments (daily basis).</p> <p>o Provide outstanding customer service at all times.</p> <p>o Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.</p> <p>o Perform other duties as requested.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>o High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>o Five years AC and DC winding experience.</p> <p>Other:</p> <p>o Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percent, and fractions.</p> <p>o Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic to complex written and verbal instructions.</p> <p>o Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures.</p> <p>o Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company standards.</p> <p>o Ability to operate hoists, fork lift trucks, and other equipment.</p> <p>o Although seldom, ability to work in confined spaces.</p> <p>o Infrequent travel may be required.</p>
