This role owns production support strategy for RPA and automation platforms, leads complex incident resolution, and drives proactive improvements to reduce operational risk. The position partners closely with engineering, infrastructure, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure automations are resilient, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes.The Production Support role owns incident triage, root-cause analysis, and coordination of fixes to ensure stable and reliable production operations. The role works closely with development and platform teams to resolve issues efficiently and prevent recurrence. Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is expected, which may involve limited after-hours support for critical incidents or time-sensitive production events. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support & OperationsServe as the technical owner for production support of automation and RPA solutions across critical business processesLead incident triage, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation for high-severity automation failuresEstablish and enforce runbooks, support models, escalation paths, and on-call readiness for automation platformsProactively identify systemic issues and implement stability, resiliency, and performance improvementsAutomation & Engineering LeadershipProvide hands-on technical leadership for automation design, debugging, and optimization in production environmentsReview automation code and configurations to ensure adherence to standards, security, and reliability best practicesPartner with development teams to ensure production readiness of new automations before releaseGuide architectural decisions that reduce operational complexity and technical debtMonitoring, Tooling & ReliabilityDesign and maintain monitoring, alerting, and health dashboards for automation platformsDrive adoption of AIOps, SRE, and automation-first support practices where applicableImprove observability by defining meaningful metrics such as uptime, failure rates, recovery times, and business impactCross-Team Collaboration & CommunicationAct as a key escalation point for automation-related production issuesCollaborate with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to resolve platform-level issuesCommunicate incidents, risks, and remediation plans clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersMentor engineers and support analysts in automation support best practicesRequired QualificationsExtensive experience in software development and production support for enterprise systemsStrong expertise in automation/RPA platforms, scripting, and debugging complex workflowsProven ability to lead incident response and root cause analysis in high-availability environmentsDeep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, release management, and production readiness standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting mission-critical automation in regulated or high-volume environmentsFamiliarity with monitoring tools, job schedulers, and orchestration platformsExperience implementing resiliency patterns, failover strategies, and automation governanceDemonstrated leadership in driving operational maturity and continuous improvementImpact of the RoleImproves reliability and availability of automation supporting core business operationsReduces production incidents through proactive engineering and observabilityEnsures automation solutions scale safely and sustainablyElevates production support from reactive issue handling to engineering-led reliabilityEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experiencePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$106,605.00 - $284,280.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
