<p>This position is eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Contact visn7edrpfacilitycoordinators2@va.gov, the EDRP Coordinator for questions/assistance</p> <p>Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases</p> <p>Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)</p> <p>Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA</p> <p>Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)</p> <p>Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory</p> <p>CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)</p> <p>Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided</p> <p>Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting</p> <p>Major Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Manages chronic conditions, evaluates and treats inter-current medical conditions. Determine medical assessment and develop treatment plans according to accepted protocols. </li><li>Collaborates with a Patient Aligned Care Team to provide accessible, comprehensive, coordinated, continuous care to an assigned panel of patients. </li><li>Must provide comprehensive gender specific care for female veterans as a Women's Health PCP including age appropriate cervical and breast cancer screening, menopause and contraceptive management, and initial evaluation of basic gynecological concerns. </li><li>Performs a variety of disease prevention related activities including gender and age specific screenings, mental health screenings, and health promotion activities. </li><li>Screens for, evaluates and treats uncomplicated common mental health disorders, including depression and common addictions, with referrals made to mental health providers for further evaluation and treatment as appropriate. </li><li>Provide Buprenorphine treatment in the management of Opioid Use Disorder per DEA guidance. </li><li>Primary care physicians will have responsibility for supervision of or collaboration with primary care mid-level providers. </li><li>Primary care physicians will act as surrogates for absent primary care providers when needed, to include review of CPRS view alerts. </li><li>Primary care physicians will regular attend primary care staff meetings, departmental meetings and medical staff meetings. </li><li>Timely documentation (notes and encounter forms) is necessary in all areas in accordance with facility policy. All administrative work should be completed in a timely fashion. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Schedule subject to change based on facility needs.</p>
