<p>Position Title AEL Instructor - PT PIN 863000 Classification Summary</p> <p>This class is the first level in the Learning Services series. Incumbents coordinate and deliver instruction programs for students and monitor academic progress. Responsibilities may include providing instruction to students; reviewing test results; and maintaining records of student information.</p> <p>Minimum Education and/or Training and Experience</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in related field.</p> <p>Preferred Education and/or Training and Experience</p> <p>Teaching experience preferred.</p> <p>Licensing Requirements</p> <p>After a candidate is hired: apply, earn, and maintain DESE Teaching Certification in Adult Education.</p> <p>Essential Job Function</p> <p>These are the job duties that are required of the position.</p> <p>Classification Duties</p> <ol> <li> <p>Instruct students in a classroom setting in an assigned area of responsibility, ensuring applicable core competencies are addressed. (B2)</p> </li><li> <p>Plan lessons; teach, observe students; grade student assignments; and evaluate overall student performance. (B2)</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the development of applicable instructional materials, exams, workshops, tutorials, presentations, support items, special programs, and/or other related items. (B2)</p> </li><li> <p>Plan, evaluate, and revise learning activities with students. Identify student needs to determine educational criteria needs. (B2)</p> </li><li> <p>Main student progress and goal database/folder.
