These efforts are monitored and assessed regularly to ensure accountability to all stakeholders.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Lawrence Public Schools is looking for exceptional and dedicated Special Education Professionals to join our team as an Educational Team Facilitator (ETF). Vacancies are available throughout the district.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate, schedule, and chair special education team meetings. </li><li>Write, process, and finalize Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). </li><li>Maintain communication with families and staff to ensure that student needs are being met. </li><li>Ensure accurate and complete student records in accordance with legal, district, and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Monitor timelines for evaluations, reevaluations, and annual reviews to ensure compliance. </li><li>Collaborate with educators, service providers, and administrators to support student success. </li><li>Maintain professional competence through participation in training and staff development. </li><li>Support compliance with all state and federal special education regulations. </li><li>Assist school staff in understanding and implementing IEPs effectively. </li><li>Participate in school-based problem-solving or support teams as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the school Principal or Special Education Zone Director. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of the special education evaluation process and associated regulations. </li><li>Ability to interpret assessment data and translate it into actionable IEP goals. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills. </li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple timelines and tasks in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices. </li><li>Proficiency in using electronic IEP and student data systems. </li><li>Capacity to build collaborative relationships with families and educators. </li><li>Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Massachusetts certification in Special Education required </li><li>Minimum one (1) year of relevant classroom or field experience, five (5) years preferred </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of special education law, team evaluation procedures, and IEP development. </li><li>Experience working with diverse student populations. </li><li>Strong understanding of compliance and documentation standards. </li><li>Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Lawrence Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment for employees and applicants.
