<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Title: Transportation Family Liaison</p> <p>Reports to: Transportation Manager</p> <p>Purpose:</p> <p>The Family Liaison's primary purpose is to provide support to the parents/guardians and school community by providing resources and resolution for transportation related issues. The Family Liaison builds a relationship between school, families, bus companies and the community.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Investigate family needs with an emphasis on issues related to transportation. Investigation should include working closely with Bus Companies, Teachers, Principals, Support Staff providers in schools, as well as Parents/Guardian. </li><li>Communicates identified needs to Manager and plan resources needed for a positive resolution. </li><li>Host and manage annual New Family meetings. </li><li>Attends scheduled Open House sessions at school level to provide transportation related information. </li><li>Visits hospitals and provides support to families when accident occurs while being transported to or from school on a school vehicle. Written updates provided to management on the status of each students condition. </li><li>Department Of Children and Families (DCF) mandated reporter, files all DCF reportable incidents with the DCF department. Manages documents related to DCF report, including providing report to schools. </li><li>Assist in the Call Center when needed. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborative -- A dynamic personality that is collaboratively minded, can recognize and identify strengths, seek consensus around mutual goals, and build meaningful relationships. </li><li>Creative -- A systems-thinker and builder, who is not afraid to be innovative in designing solutions and has skills in articulating these ideas and concepts. </li><li>Methodical -- Strong analytical, systems, and problem solving skills to evaluate issues/complaints, prepare reports, and recommend/implement solutions using independent judgment. Ability to move from concepts to action through strong program design and evaluation. </li><li>Reliable -- Leadership skills that reflect and value a team approach, demonstrated integrity, effectiveness, efficiency, and the ability to deliver high quality service. Highly capable of handling multiple tasks, projects and timelines. Excellent oral and written communications skills. </li><li>Trusted -- Ability to work with parents/guardians, partners, and staff of diversified backgrounds with a positive, optimistic, solutions oriented attitude.
