<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Repost: Previous applicants do not need to re-apply as all qualified applications will be considered</p> <p>Allied Health Instructor Responsibilities</p> <p>To serve as an instructor for the college. The instructor will develop curriculum outline and design multiple modalities of instruction. Provide classroom instruction and clinical skills training for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program. Must make sure class syllabus is up to date, curriculum guidelines are followed and provide a student learning experience that enables them to pass the state nursing assistant exam. The instructor will provide assistance to students and administration by promoting nursing education. The instructor will participate in developing community outreach.</p> <ul> <li>Present course materials through appropriate instructional strategies to facilitate the learning process through multi-modalities and laboratory environments. </li><li>Develop, revise and maintain current instructional materials including lesson plans, lab projects, through course objectives, outlines, appropriate instructional materials and methods. Demonstrate and provide professional effective classroom management and control, maintain safety and current lab experience and equipment, provide timely and accurate reports supporting the collegiate learning environment. </li><li>Participate in assisting students in personal and professional development. </li><li>Effective use of required office hours and professional student advising for student completion. </li><li>Participate in college activities and the promotion of NETC through service. </li><li>Participate in activities designed to develop professional skills to maintain and improve job proficiency. </li><li>All other duties assigned by the Dean of Allied Health. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, an unencumbered active license as a registered nurse in South Carolina or another Compact state, and a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered or advanced practice nurse related to the primary area of responsibility. NETC Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing. Previous experience teaching at community/technical colleges. Experience using a variety of teaching modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online). Must have a valid driver's license.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>NETC Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing. Previous experience teaching at community/technical colleges. Experience using a variety of teaching modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online). Teaching ability is a must, with a concern for student success and wiliness to advise students on a regular basis.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The teaching environment includes classroom and lab, requiring local travel to business/industry and community campuses and some short term travel may be required for professional meetings. Teaching locations include partner High Schools, State, Federal, Juvenile Correction facilities, community campuses and industry partners. Driver's License Required. All schedules consist of three full days and one shorter day, which totals 37.5 hours per week. </li><li>State Retirement Plan and Deferred Compensation Programs </li><li>Professional Development opportunities </li></ul> <p>NETC is a qualified employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time at NETC. To qualify for PSLF, you must:</p> <ul> <li>be employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization (federal service includes U.S. military service) </li><li>work full-time for that agency or organization </li><li>have Direct Loans (or consolidate other federal student loans into a Direct Loan) </li><li>repay your loans under an income-driven repayment plan* </li><li>make 120 qualifying payments </li></ul>
