<p>Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking a talented Quality Inspector with Machining Background (2nd shift) to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in York, PA.</p> <p>At PCC, you'll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether you're driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, you'll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision.</p> <p>Essential Duties of the Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift:</p> <ul> <li>Perform dimensional inspections of components using conventional measuring equipment, machines, and indicators. </li><li>Utilize advanced measurement technologies such as Laser Tracker, Faro Arm, and Photogrammetry systems to verify compliance with engineering requirements. </li><li>Inspect components for compliance with engineering drawings and planning documents. </li><li>Interpret engineering drawings and inspection plans to ensure accurate measurements and documentation. </li><li>Identify and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspection processes. </li><li>Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure components meet technical specifications and quality standards. </li></ul> <p>Education & Skills Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of industrial experience as a journeyman machinist or machine operator required. </li><li>Minimum of three (3) additional years of industrial experience working as a Quality Control Inspector required. </li><li>Ability to think and visualize in three dimensions. </li><li>Minimum one (1) year of experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). </li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and planning documents. </li><li>Strong mathematical and analytical skills. </li><li>Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Must be able to identify common ASME Y14.5 GD&T symbols and terms including datums, basic dimensions, tolerance zones, MMC/LMC, and RFS. </li><li>Ability to read feature control frames (FCFs) and understand datum reference structures (A|B|C). </li><li>US Citizenship required at time of hire. </li></ul> <p>PCC offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) matching </li><li>Medical insurance </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Disability insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Alternative schedules </li><li>Flexible spending account </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Work-life balance </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>2nd shift includes a $2.00/hour shift differential. </li></ul> <p>Precision Custom Components/DC Fabricators is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to a workplace where everyone is treated with respect.
