<p>Dispatch Representative - Onsite role</p> <p>Location: 10913 S River Front Pkwy, Suite 200; South Jordan, UT 84095</p> <p>Schedule: M-F 8:30AM-5PM</p> <p>Overview: The most important skill we are seeking that would also help the selected hire be successful in this role is strong customer service skills. This role will be communicating with truckers, the customer service department, and other teams within the Operations department. This role is on the Dispatch team as a part of the Operations department.</p> <p>The Department:</p> <p>This role is a part of the Dispatch team, which is a part of the Operations department. Within our organization, the Operations department works directly with terminals, rails, depots, motor carriers and suppliers in the region daily. Specifically, Operations ensures all equipment is in good order and moving timely. This is accomplished using internal systems for planning and monitoring equipment flows, managing empties to booking ratios, ensuring empty availability for vessel repositioning, while making sure no equipment is idling in the region.</p> <p>Key Job Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor daily work activity and prioritization for the Dispatch team, then provide results to management </li><li>Manage all exceptions and service recoveries as the first point of contact </li><li>Review daily activities for training or enhancement opportunities by providing continual observation of items for staff growth and knowledge and to bring efficiencies to the team. </li><li>Develop and improve cross-functional job tasks for proactive and clear handling. </li><li>Ensure ISO compliance and recommend actions for continuous improvement. </li><li>Team liaison for cross-functional projects to provide dispatch input </li><li>Manage invoice rejections and provide problem resolutions </li><li>Review job order failure cases and provide resolution </li><li>Quarterly review with the Procurement team to assist with dispatch input on vendor review and trucking supplier performance. </li><li>Review invoice rejection and provide problem resolution </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication, especially proficient in email communication </li><li>High attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Government rules and regulations </li></ul> <p>What is OOCL?</p> <p>Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) is one of the world's largest integrated international container transportation, logistics and terminal companies.
