This is a position where you'll take on a supervisory role operating and maintaining the CW plant. You'll work with project leadership and lead onsite operations and maintenance staff supervising daily Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities as well as work with the area manager to provide superior client support. You will be onsite site project leader responsible for organizing and directing the 24/7- 365 day operations and maintenance of the plant. You'll also analyze operational process control procedures, maintenance procedures, and institute changes when necessary to optimize plant operations, and be responsible for preparing accurate operational records and reports.</p> <p>Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and we'll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the world's most challenging Operations Management projects, together.</p> <p>#ourjacobs #bia #omfs #challengeaccepted</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work onsite at client's industrial chilled water facility, provide Project Management services and support to our client. </li><li>Provide excellent written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders to keep everyone informed of project status, issues, expectations, and goals. </li><li>Work effectively in a team structure with all levels of the organization. </li><li>Direct business and technical operations for the project, ensuring quality performance, coordinating project deliverables, and sponsoring technical reviews. </li><li>Develop and manage scope of work, budgets, and schedules, including coordinating subcontractors and internal support for projects. Identify situations that may cause project to exceed scope or budget and work with stakeholders to address those issues. </li><li>Maintain project documentation, including correspondence and submittals, in accordance with contract requirements. </li><li>Identify and evaluate risk that may impact the project. </li><li>Be diligent on identifying and correcting safety concerns. Both Jacobs and the client have very high standards for safety programs. </li><li>Cover operator shifts as needed to maintain proper plant coverage. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent, and advanced experience in the operation and maintenance of a chillers, pumps, air compressors, utility systems, electrical breakers and switch gear and industrial refrigeration equipment. </li><li>Ability to operate SCADA systems and other computerized equipment. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and project related software tools </li><li>Valid driver's license with no major infractions </li><li>Two years of experience in any of the following: utility mechanic, refrigeration mechanic / technician, plant operator (power, water, or other utility). </li><li>Experience using SAP or equivalent computerized maintenance system. </li><li>EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required. </li><li>Trane, McQuay, or Frick or other chiller maintenance experience </li><li>Experience working in a team environment as a leader </li><li>Ability to coach and train operation and maintenance teams </li></ul> <p>Ideally, You'll Also Have:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong technical problem-solving skills. </li><li>Capable of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule. </li><li>District energy operations and maintenance experience. </li><li>Understanding of the technical aspects of the facility to be managed. </li><li>Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills. </li><li>Demonstrate excellent relations with the client, vendors/contractors, customer and regulatory agencies. </li><li>Experience developing and working within an approved budget. Specifically tracking costs, adjusting activities to stay on budget, and optimizing labor and materials. </li><li>Proficient with financial budgeting and reports, specifically experience preparing operational reports for both internal and external clients. </li><li>Provide presentations to coworkers and client meetings. </li><li>Coordinate or support daily work activities for various departments. </li><li>Drive safe work practices and review operations for safety improvements. </li><li>Develop operator / maintainer daily, weekly, monthly work schedules. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Safety is a core value at Jacobs.
