<p>LOCATION: To be determined</p> <p>SALARY (Non negotiable)</p> <p>Includes employee benefits package</p> <p>Custodian I (Paygrade 2) $31,262 - $37,918</p> <p>HOURS</p> <p>40 hours, 12 months, 260 days</p> <p>FLSA: Non exempt</p> <p>Contract Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.</p> <p>At least two (2) years of commercial cleaning experience.</p> <p>Custodian II: Ability to supervise other custodial personnel.</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively using the English language when deemed necessary.</p> <p>Ability to read and understand labels, instructions, regulations, and procedure manuals.</p> <p>Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions.</p> <p>Knowledge and training in general custodial duties to include all aspects of cleaning and operation of custodial equipment.</p> <p>A good attendance record.</p> <p>Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.</p> <p>Ability to work outside in hot, cold, or inclement weather.</p> <p>Ability to operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor machines, mowers, trimmers, etc.</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and persons from the community.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Using appropriate equipment and supplies, sweep and clean floors, walls and partitions in all areas of buildings, including classrooms, offices, corridors, gymnasiums, mechanical rooms, locker rooms, and lavatories.</p> <p>Wash and clean windows, light fixtures, ventilators, and other items which may require climbing in excess of eight (8) feet.</p> <p>Clean and polish desks, chairs, tables, cabinets, and other office or classroom equipment.</p> <p>Collect and dispose of trash, scrap, and garbage.</p> <p>Perform grounds work as assigned, including policing, snow removal, etc.</p> <p>Assist organizations using school facilities.</p> <p>Arrange rooms for meeting and conferences.</p> <p>Maintain regular on-time attendance.</p> <p>Perform related work as required.</p>
