<p>About This Role Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. You will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads, performs and coordinates broad manufacturing engineering activities in the development and supply of capital and disposable medical devices and instruments.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Perform manufacturing engineering functional lead duties including engineering and production builds, assembly line/cell layout, process flow development, process development, manufacturing fixture design, operator manufacturing/assembly training, etc. Provide technical project management through continuous communication with internal design, engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel, original equipment manufacturing (OEM) factories, suppliers, and clients regarding manufacturing engineering progress and details of multiple projects. Work with Quality Engineering to execute Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and testing procedures to ensure compliance with design output specifications and lifecycle requirements. Maintain manufacturing files and databases per internal design control procedures. Define and generate all required documentation in support of manufacturing products and processes. Where applicable aid in business development proposals and cost estimation of client products Provide support to improve, maintain, or fix manufacturing processes. Train and mentor new and less experienced engineers. Provides leadership, training, guidance, and support to other engineers. Execute operator training for manufacturing and assembly. Troubleshoot project related manufacturing issues. Support the organization in meeting production schedules through resolving technical, equipment, or operational issues. Support initiatives to improve safety and compliance to applicable regulations.Participate in build and release plans. Support business development.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering. 3-6 years of relevant work experience. At least 1 year experience leading manufacturing projects/programs. Strong knowledge of overall medical device industry. Strong knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) packages. Strong knowledge of process development and process validation. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and perform a wide range of activities. Ability to work under a timeline. Ability to solve moderate to complex technical problems. Strong ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Knowledge in heart, kidney, liver, or lung medical devices. Packaging design and implementation experience. Product cost estimation. Design for manufacturing and assembly experience. Semi-automated or automation manufacturing environment.</p>
