<p>Job Type: Regular</p> <p>Time Type: Full time</p> <p>Work Shift: Day (United States of America)</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.</p> <p>This role will ensure BILH negotiates optimal system-wide contracts from both a cost and quality perspective. This role will identify and prioritize both clinical and purchased service contracts to be renegotiated at a system level, driving the process and focusing on vendor consolidation, appropriate short-term contracts, and other initiatives that will generate substantial savings for the health system.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluates internal and benchmarking data to identify purchased service and clinical cost savings opportunities </li><li>Develops and implement BILH contracts to ensure cost-effective and quality-driven supplies and services </li><li>Manages vendor relationships, develops contract/relationship performance goals and criteria, and serves as a subject matter expert resource </li><li>Works collaboratively with all key stakeholders, including supply chain, clinical departments, and finance on cost savings initiatives specifically relating to contracting operations </li><li>Leads and/or staffs multi-disciplinary teams to select/standardize contracting choices that maximize supply chain savings while meeting clinical and operational needs. Conducts and/or staffs group meetings to facilitate contract review, trials, and implementation </li><li>Evaluates the success of the contract once implemented, reconciles problems between BILH and vendors, and makes relevant recommendations to best meet the supply chain needs of the system </li><li>Analyzes data and provide cost savings reports to leadership on a routine basis </li><li>Shares information and educates managers and physicians throughout the system to advance others' ability to improve supply chain performance </li><li>Builds, maintains, and manages strong partnerships with our strategic vendors </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, supply chain management, or a closely related field is preferred; Master's Degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certification & Registration:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) certification preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Seven (7) years of purchasing, contracting, or materials management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting </li><li>Five (5) years or more of contract negotiating experience. </li><li>Expertise in healthcare physician preference items and knowledge of clinical commodity items used in acute patient areas is preferred. </li><li>Experience in healthcare value analysis is preferred. </li><li>The incumbent should have progressive management and leadership experiences Purchased Service proficiency is expected. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications </li><li>Workday experience preferred </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong project management skills including the ability to plan, organize, and complete work projects in a cross-functional team setting </li><li>Results and deadline-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure </li><li>Strong relationship management skills with the ability to gain buy-in from employees not directly under his/her span of control </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications & Skills:</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Dept./Unit-Specific Skills:</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
