<p>The purpose of this position is to "seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion." This position is a journeyman role that exists to support Headquarters Facilities by providing and maintaining the physical accommodations for Church Departments and Priesthood Leaders. The expectation is to provide preventative and corrective maintenance, and construction for these facilities, to portray an image of dignity, integrity, and respectability with a justifiable standard of time, quality, and cost. Performs all phases of journeyman level carpentry work. Should specialize in Hardscape and Flooring, pavers, retaining walls, hardwood, laminate, LVP, LVT, carpet, etc.</p> <p>Pay rate range for this position: $26.00 - $29.00/hr depending on experience and education.</p> <p>Shifts available for this position, starting each day at 6:00am:</p> <p>4 - 10's Monday - Thursday/Tuesday - Friday</p> <p>5 - 8's Monday - Friday</p> <ul> <li>Works with materials used in construction such as heavy-duty masonry equipment for exterior stone and pavers with precision tools for interior wood, laminate, and vinyl installation. Concrete grinders used for floor leveling, and and all other flooring installation or improvement tools. </li><li>Additional Hardscape and Flooring carpenter duties: Installs, maintains, and repairs all flooring including carpet, concrete, tile, VCT, epoxy coatings, stone, etc. Also, responsible for repairing water leaks. </li><li>Uses work order tracking software and time entry/personal development software in conjunction with daily work. </li><li>Estimate materials needed for a specific job or project. </li><li>Uses, maintains, and repairs hand tools, portable machines, general construction and shop equipment. </li><li>Performs all required safety training and certifications applicable to assigned area of work. </li><li>Works with contractors as needed. </li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned by Management. </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Requires journeyman level Carpenter in conjunction with a minimum of four years' experience in carpentry, concrete, flooring, or other related fields. </li><li>Pass all required safety and equipment certifications and trainings. </li><li>Able to work in a professional manner with others as well as alone without constant supervision. </li><li>Maintains a positive attitude with the ability to work as a team. </li><li>Basic computer skills. </li><li>Valid driver's license. May be required to become DOT certified. </li><li>Able to understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety. </li><li>Capable of understanding instructions both verbally and in writing and able to listen and ask clarifying questions as needed. </li><li>Good vision for precision work as well as good eye-hand-foot coordination and stable, controlled hand movement. </li><li>Able to safely work from ladders, scaffolds and mechanical lifts and other high locations for extended periods of time. </li><li>Ability to distinguish colors. </li><li>Can independently lift objects weighing as much as 50 pounds on a regular basis. </li><li>Able to team lift and position objects weighing as much as 100 pounds on a regular basis. </li><li>Can stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, and pull for extended periods of time. </li><li>Requires at least 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses and not less than 120 degrees combined horizontal peripheral vision. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Multi trade background preferred. </li></ul>
