<p>Miami Valley Hospital North</p> <p>Physical Therapist</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time: Options include 5 x 8-hour, 4 x 9-hour, OR 4 x 10-hour days </li></ul> <p>Come work in a supportive environment, with 1-hour initial assessments and 45-minute 1-on-1 follow-ups</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Physical Therapist assumes a dynamic leadership role on the interdisciplinary patient care teams. This individual identifies patient care needs, develops a plan of care and goals in collaboration with the patient, provides a wide variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice, provides education and support to patients/families, and facilitates continuing care planning.</p> <p>The therapist participates in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. The therapist is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Functions</p> <ul> <li>Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines. </li><li>Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management. </li><li>Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided as indicated through matching of documentation and service charges. </li><li>Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants. </li><li>Provides patient/family education. </li><li>Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities. </li><li>Manages case load per department standards. </li><li>Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and looks for opportunities to ensure that all patients have a satisfying experience. </li><li>Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Certification/Registration</p> <ul> <li>Current Physical Therapy license in State of Ohio (new graduates welcomed) </li><li>BLS certification within 30-days of hire </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience </li><li>Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills</p> <ul> <li>Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. </li><li>Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change. </li><li>Teamwork oriented.
