With more than 200 offices nationwide, founder Mark Baiada still maintains the same compassionate, human focus that made our first office unique in 1975.</p> <p>Responsibilities for a Hospice Spiritual Counselor include:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and adhere to the client's spiritual care plan. </li><li>Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members. </li><li>Complete documentation accurately and timely. </li><li>Must be reliable and punctual. </li><li>Must demonstrate an appropriate attitude. </li><li>Participate in providing bereavement services to family members, referral sources, and the community. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for a Hospice Spiritual Counselor include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or master's degree (preferred) in counseling or have graduated from an approved divinity school, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and meet all state practice requirements. </li><li>Minimum of one year of experience in spiritual care in a health care setting, preferably hospice or palliative care. </li><li>Formal ordination or endorsement by a recognized faith organization is preferred, or, for faith traditions that do not require ordination, demonstrated spiritual leadership, or recognized standing within the community is preferred </li><li>Travel required for the position. </li></ul> <p>BAYADA believes that our clients and their families deserve home health care delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
