Pharmacy technicians/inpatient work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Procures and distributes medications per physician or pharmacist requests, or prearranged assignments, following established policies and protocols. </li><li>Replenishes and manages stock in automated dispensing units and emergency drug containers; generates necessary reports, pick lists, and labels. </li><li>Prepares intravenous admixtures and other sterile preparations, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition, adhering to safety and accuracy standards. </li><li>Complies with regulations and best practices for sterile compounding. </li><li>Repackages bulk medications into unit-dose packages using appropriate techniques and established procedures. </li><li>Assists with ordering, receiving, unpacking, storing, and restocking medications and supplies, maintaining accurate records and documentation, and performing monthly inspections of medication storage areas to replace outdated or unusable medications. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Education - High School diploma/equivalent. </li><li>Minimum age requirement: 18 years old. </li><li>Certification and Licensure - Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program (NHA/PTCB).
