<p>The EH&S Coordinator operates under direct supervision of the SPC Plant Manager. They are responsible for maintaining accurate records for regulatory reporting and compiling site metrics in support of the management team for the Louisville (SPC Plant) and Lexington (Funai R&D) locations of Brady Corporation. The EH&S Coordinator needs to work effectively with site management and all employees when coordinating events, auditing or participating in projects. They maintain safety equipment inventory, perform periodic safety inspections, and handle consolidating hazardous wastes.</p> <ul> <li>Supports management of site-specific EH&S policies, programs and practices </li><li>Conducts required EH&S training including New Employee Orientation, monthly safety topics and contractor safety reviews (across all 3 shifts) </li><li>Maintains a compliance calendar of training requirements, regulatory reporting, and other tasks, such as testing or sampling. </li><li>Maintain EH&S records in an orderly fashion and strives to maintain electronic records when feasible. </li><li>Participates in the investigation of all near miss, first aid, and recordable accidents and incidents, and assists in creating corrective action/mitigation plans. </li><li>Performs management system audits and required inspections </li><li>Manages the site Safety Committee and 5S Committee </li><li>Organizes hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments </li><li>Provides updates to EH&S operating procedures and programs </li><li>Coordinates vendor supplies and services </li><li>Serves as technical resource for EH&S compliance questions. </li><li>Associates Degree in Environmental / Safety or equivalent experience </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Ability to work independently with initiative, applying a high level of discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality </li><li>Computer competence in an MS Windows and Google environment. </li><li>Ability to work with data entry, word processing, presentation, and Internet access software </li><li>Experience with environmental reporting and permits. </li><li>OSHA #501 - Trainer Course for General Industry </li><li>Familiarity with the 5S workplace organization methodology </li></ul> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>Brady makes products that make the world a safer and more productive place.
