<p>Overview</p> <ul> <li>Review all pertinent SOP's and is a QI (Qualified Individual) for the position </li><li>Uses pallet jack to move WIP to the line. </li><li>Checks tickets on WIP gaylords to ensure proper product is being loaded for the run. </li><li>Safely loads WIP onto the dumper to feed the line. </li><li>Ensures that product is constantly available so that the line does not stop. </li><li>Cleans all areas of the production floor as necessary or requested. </li><li>Visually inspects product for quality defects and notifies QA of any quality concerns. </li><li>Maintains company standards for cleanliness, safety, and productivity in the plant area. </li><li>Provides support for the machine operator in maintaining continuous production. </li><li>Works cooperatively with other members of the packaging line. </li><li>Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA, and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards. </li><li>Strive to be a safety solutions leader by maintaining the 200% for safety mindset. Participate in engagement activities, complete required safety training, and aid in identifying hazards utilizing BBS and Safety Monitor programs. </li><li>Participates in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>No Supervisory responsibilities</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent. </li><li>Prior experience in a manufacturing environment requiring repetitive work is preferred. </li><li>Basic mechanical aptitude is helpful. </li><li>Must not have food allergies. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions/Environment</p> <p>Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for an 8 - 10 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Will be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and moving parts/equipment. The noise level is loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required per company GMP and safety standards.</p>
