<p>Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Database Architect, based out of our office in Sparks, NV.</p> <p>The Senior DBA will work with our Engineering teams to lead the design, development, continual tuning and maintenance of our database systems. You will serve as a technical leader for database query design and the optimization of existing queries, scripts, and programs. You will support the software development process and contribute directly to the culture of quality by implementing process improvements, team outreach, and mentoring. To ensure success as a Senior Database Architect, you should exhibit knowledge of best practices in database management and experience in a similar role.</p> <p>Specific job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Design scalable, secure, and efficient database architectures to support organization goals </li><li>Maintains database by determining structural requirements and developing and installing solutions </li><li>Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data </li><li>Troubleshoots and finds solutions for computer system issues that affect data storage as they arise </li><li>Determines platform architecture, technology, and tools </li></ul> <p>Position requirements:</p> <ul> <li>B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience </li><li>3+ years' experience developing / deploying secure databases </li><li>2+ years' experience supporting API, WebUI, and Application Data connectivity </li><li>Expert level SQL proficiency (e.g., T-SQL, MySQL, Oracle) </li><li>Understanding of database containerization </li><li>Database deployment and automation strategies </li><li>Understanding of data analysis to support business principles and operations </li><li>Enterprise software architecture, design and implementation for scalable solutions </li><li>Network design and implementation, strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking </li><li>Project ownership and self-direction in ambiguous requirements </li><li>Ability to adapt to constantly changing needs </li><li>Experience mentoring junior developers and/or DBA's is a plus </li><li>Ability to implement and support RDS solutions </li><li>Ability to clearly present technical information to peers and non-technical stakeholders. </li><li>Ability to anticipate, understand, and support CRUD actions for API's and Web UI's </li><li>Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies </li><li>Demonstrated history of curiosity and growth </li></ul> <p>Desired skills:</p> <ul> <li>C#/.Net 8 </li><li>Certified Data Architect </li><li>Manufacturing and Inventory Management data experience </li><li>Machine Learning experience </li><li>DevOps </li></ul>
