<p>Grade Civil Service Grade Level VII Non-Competitive Title Typical Work Activities: (Illustrative only)Installs water service piping, which includes wiping and testing joints;Installs and repairs fixtures and equipment requiring pipe connections;Repairs pipes and valve traps in heating systems;Clears stoppages in waste lines, traps and other drains;Inspects and repairs sump pump and sewage ejectors;Packs valves and repairs air compressors and vacuum pumps;Installs fixtures such as sinks, toilet bowls, urinals, water fountains and coolers;Assist skilled workers in other trades when not working as plumber. Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from high school or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma and five (5) years of experience as a journeyman plumber; orSeven (7) years of experience as described in (A); orAn equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
