<p>Job Title: Materials & Process Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Materials & Process Technician is responsible for preparing test samples for analysis through cleaning, cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing. This role supports engineers in experiments related to sample preparation, including molding and testing. The technician operates, validates, and maintains mechanical and analytical testing equipment. Additionally, thorough documentation, management, examination, recording, and saving of testing data records is required. Organizing and maintaining laboratory inventory, consumables, sample storage bins, and workstation areas are also key duties.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare test samples for analysis through cleaning, cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing. </li><li>Support engineers in experiments related to sample preparation, such as molding and testing. </li><li>Operate, validate, and maintain mechanical and analytical testing equipment. </li><li>Document, manage, examine, record, and save testing data records. </li><li>Organize and maintain laboratory inventory, consumables, sample storage bins, and workstation areas. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in materials testing and process validation. </li><li>Experience in sample preparation. </li><li>Experience working with lab equipment for mechanical, thermal, or chemical testing. </li><li>Ability to perform data acquisition and quality assurance. </li><li>Familiarity with cross-section equipment. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand, use, and continue to develop analytical skills, including process development. </li><li>Commitment to technical and personal development and knowledge related to products, testing equipment, and processes. </li><li>Capability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks and demands under stress. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position is based in a laboratory environment, requiring interaction with various testing equipment and technologies.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
