<p>21st Century Afterschool Paraprofessional</p> <p>As a 21st Century Afterschool Paraprofessional, your role involves collaborating closely with the Afterschool Program Site Coordinator to ensure the successful execution of diverse summer program activities. Whether it's assisting during program sessions, facilitating student engagement, or contributing to the overall program experience, your active involvement is essential.</p> <p>Locations: Crocker, McKay, Reingold Elementary Schools, Longsjo, and Memorial Middle Schools</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; </li><li>Experience working with at-risk students and the ability to meet the needs of students with diverse learning needs; </li><li>Experience in implementing after-school activities for children; </li><li>Organized, creative, flexible, and reliable; </li><li>Ability to assist in the planning and facilitation of academic enrichment workshops aligned with specific standards/focus in ELA, Mathematics, and Socioemotional Learning; </li><li>Knowledge of current education legislation/regulations preferred; </li><li>Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents; </li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders; </li><li>Belief in the commitment to increasing personal growth, both academic and social-emotional, to obtain the highest level of achievement for every student; </li><li>Certified in CPR and First Aid preferred, training will be provided for candidates who don't already possess training; </li><li>Preference will be given to staff members currently employed as a paraprofessional in FPS; </li><li>Applicants must commit to being present for the full duration of the program. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>The 21st Century Afterschool Paraprofessionals will:</p> <ul> <li>Under the direction of the 21st Century Afterschool Program Site Coordinator, support and assist with all afterschool program activities as needed; </li><li>Complete pre-/post-SAYO surveys (Survey of Youth Outcomes) as required by the 21st Century Grant; </li><li>Assist the site coordinator with a snack, transition times, dismissal, and other duties assigned; </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>All program hours must be during out-of-school time. All duties must be performed during non-contractual hours.</p> <p>Multiple positions available; dependent upon the number of student participants.</p> <p>Dates and Times:</p> <p>Dates and Times: School Year</p> <p>Hours: Dependent on Site (see below)</p> <p>Program Implementation:</p> <p>Academic School Year Program Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Staff Orientation, PD & Planning: 9/15/25-9/18/25 </li><li>Session 1: 9/22/25-12/3/25 </li><li>PD & Planning: 12/8/25-12/11/25 </li><li>Session 2: 12/15/25-3/12/26 </li><li>PD & Planning: 3/16/26-3/18/26 </li><li>Session 3: 3/23/26-6/4/26 </li></ul> <p>School Year Program Hours:</p> <ul> <li>Crocker/Reingold/McKay 3:25 pm-5:55 pm </li><li>Memorial: 1:50 pm-4:20 pm </li><li>Longsjo 2:25pm-4:55pm </li></ul> <p>Total Compensation: Not To Exceed (NTE) 334 hours at the paraprofessional's contractual pay rate. This amount includes all program time as well as all prep and wrap-up required - timesheet submission for payment bi-weekly.</p> <p>Funding Source: 21st CCLC Grants, City Funding</p> <p>Applicants must commit to being present for the full duration of the program.</p> <p>The responsibilities and duties listed are illustrations of the various types of work performed.
