If you are passionate about mathematics and instructional excellence, we would love to meet you.</p> <p>Position Summary - Math Academic Coordinator</p> <p>The Math Academic Coordinator is the academic leader of the center. This role oversees all instructional quality, student assessments, learning plans, and instructor training. The Education Manager ensures that every student receives effective, individualized instruction aligned with the Mathnasium Method.</p> <p>This position requires strong mathematical competency, excellent teaching ability, and the leadership skills needed to guide and develop a team of instructors.</p> <p>This is a part-time position (20+ hours per week)</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Instructional Leadership</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversee all aspects of academic quality within the center</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all instruction follows the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching standards</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to support in-person, online, and hybrid learning environments with consistent instructional excellence</p> </li></ul> <p>Student Assessments & Learning Plans</p> <ul> <li> <p>Administer and score student assessments</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose learning gaps accurately and efficiently</p> </li><li> <p>Develop individualized learning plans for each student</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Instructor Training & Development</p> <ul> <li> <p>Train, coach, and mentor instructors in instructional strategies and Mathnasium best practices</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct ongoing performance check-ins and provide actionable feedback</p> </li><li> <p>Model effective teaching practices and maintain a culture of academic excellence</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with scheduling to ensure proper student-to-instructor ratios</p> </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Communication</p> <ul> <li> <p>Partner with the Center Manager to discuss student progress, instructional needs, and staffing</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate academic updates when needed to support the center's educational goals</p> </li><li> <p>Support parent meetings when academic expertise is required</p> </li></ul> <p>Environment & Standards</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain a structured, focused, and positive learning environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure materials, curriculum, and teaching tools are organized and up-to-date</p> </li><li> <p>Support the center in maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree completed or in-progress ; preferred fields include mathematics, education, engineering, or related disciplines</p> </li><li> <p>Strong math proficiency through at least Calculus</p> </li><li> <p>Previous teaching, tutoring, or academic leadership experience required</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly to students of varying skill levels</p> </li><li> <p>Experience training or mentoring others is strongly preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to education quality</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and leadership skills</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to complete Mathnasium Method training and certification</p> </li></ul>
