You will have the chance to channel your advanced degree into supporting the development and commercialization of portfolios, assets and brands by integrating therapeutic, clinical and commercial expertise to ensure that clients are able to make confident decisions.</p> <p>As an Associate Vice President, you will lead and oversee a large and diverse portfolio of strategic consulting engagements and workstreams across one or more therapeutic areas or areas of assignment across multiple client set. You will bring deep subject matter expertise that underpins scientific credibility, client trust, and strategic insight. You will play a central role in shaping the long- and short-term strategic direction of the Competitive Strategy (CS) function, grounded in deep scientific understanding and commercial insight. Operating with a future-facing mindset, you will apply your expertise to anticipate biopharma industry trends, translate them into innovative client solutions, and help drive business growth.</p> <p>You will also lead some of the largest cross-functional teams within CS and play an instrumental role in mentoring talent, shaping Prescient's external thought leadership, and representing the company in industry forums.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Engagement Leadership: Guide clients in framing and solving complex strategic challenges. Ensure a high standard of delivery across a wide range of engagements through evidence-based, scientifically rigorous, and commercially relevant insights. </li><li>Scientific Excellence: Serve as a trusted scientific leader with deep therapeutic and clinical knowledge. Provide mentorship across teams on clinical development, regulatory science, competitive intelligence, and commercialization strategies. </li><li>Business Development: Actively expand existing accounts and identify new opportunities. Lead proposal development, pitch execution, and value articulation based on both scientific understanding and market acumen. </li><li>Portfolio Oversight: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, projects or workstreams across therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment with client objectives, operational timelines, and quality benchmarks. </li><li>Project Management: Ensure three-dimensional management of client engagements, including design, planning, client and people management, evidence collection, analysis, and reporting </li><li>Thought Leadership: Collaborate with the marketing and leadership teams to develop impactful publications, white papers, webinars, or conference presence that establish Prescient's position as a thought leader. </li><li>Innovation & Capability Building: Identify gaps and opportunities in consulting capabilities, leading the development of new frameworks, methodologies, and internal knowledge assets that elevate functional excellence. </li><li>Engagement Management: Collaborate with other members of the project and account teams to ensure clients experience best-in-class customer service. Independently assimilate, articulate, and scope client needs and challenges and incorporate into new engagements to ensure accuracy and consistency in all client deliverables </li><li>Project Directing: Collaborate with clients to ensure that projects are designed to answer strategic business questions and are executed with a high degree of client satisfaction </li><li>People Leadership: Lead, coach, and grow high-performing consulting teams, including other people managers. Support career development through feedback, learning plans, and stretch assignments. </li><li>Client Relationship Management: Act as a senior point of contact for key accounts. Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and satisfaction and contribute to long-term partnership building. </li><li>Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with teams across Prescient (e.g., Data & Analytics, Product, Marketing) to embed integrated, innovative solutions in client offerings. </li><li>Market & Industry Intelligence: Remain at the forefront of global market, clinical, and regulatory developments in key therapeutic areas to ensure strategic relevance and foresight. </li><li>Continuous Improvement: Facilitate continuous improvement by leveraging various internal or external assets in consensus with key stakeholders </li><li>Line Management: Hire, develop, and retain diverse talent on your team </li></ul> <p>Required Experience and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Preferred PhD or advanced degree in life sciences, data sciences, business, or a related discipline </li><li>Extensive consulting experience and expertise in one or more therapeutic areas - oncology, immunology and CVRM experience is preferred. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines. Prescient offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies.
