Research Grant or Time-limited positions may be eligible for all, some, or no benefits, based on the grant or project funding.</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>Advertised Job Summary</p> <p>Performs duties in the operation, maintenance, and inspection of the chilled water and high pressure steam distribution system and other associated equipment of the USC Columbia campus, consisting of over 200 acres, including the operation and maintenance of the auxiliary steam and hot water boilers as well as associated equipment and controls.</p> <p>Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.</p> <p>Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials</p> <p>Must possess a valid drivers license.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>High school diploma and six years experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a large steam and chilled water distribution and air conditioning system;</p> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</p> <p>Have the ability to lead by example, solve problems, take initiative to provide services, develop strong customer relationships, measure cost and performance, keep accurate records, communicate effectively, develop proper procedures, define actions to resolve specific problem situations, communicate to management, and prepare reports.
