The District has four (4) buildings and serves approximately 1200 students in grades PreK-8 in three (3) of the buildings. The District seeks a leader with a solid understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code, and GAAP requirements. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail and a strong desire to create a long-term, sustainable fiscal plan that improves efficiency to best support students.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree required from an accredited college, preferably in Business or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license </li><li>Standard New Jersey School Business Administrator certificate required </li><li>3-5 years of experience in a New Jersey school district as a School Business Administrator required </li><li>Qualified Purchasing Agent preferred </li><li>A thorough understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles established by the GASB, school budget preparation and internal control systems </li><li>A thorough understanding of federal regulations for administration of federal grant programs, experience with grant writing and/or grant implementation a plus </li><li>Knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, risk management, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, transportation, and food services. </li><li>Experience with school plant operations, construction, facility planning, custodial and maintenance services preferred </li><li>Proficiency with electronic databases, spreadsheets, and other technologies related to efficient business office operations </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills </li><li>Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills needed </li><li>Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status </li><li>Candidates with CPA license will be given priority </li></ul> <p>Qualified candidates are invited to complete the online application in its entirety to be considered for an interview.</p> <p>Salary commensurate with experience and subject to approval by the Hunterdon County Executive Superintendent of Schools, the CTSD Superintendent of Schools, and the CTSD Board of Education.</p>
