<p>Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>perform daily maintenance duties at institutional facilities, in a professional and safe manner in accordance with training and safety standards;</p> </li><li> <p>Skill sets for general maintenance would include but not limited to: carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades</p> </li><li> <p>complete assigned tasks in a timely and organized manner;</p> </li><li> <p>communicate in a professional manner to faculty, staff students, visitors and co-workers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required abilities:</p> <ul> <li>working independently with limited supervision; </li><li>ability to frequently and independently lift up to 25 pound items in a repetitive manner, and occasionally lift items up to 60 pounds; </li><li>no sensitivity to common construction materials; </li><li>able to work in dusty and/or unconditioned spaces at times; </li><li>work consistently for 2 hours completing common maintenance activities without breaks; </li><li>possess substantial range of motion to complete assigned tasks; </li><li>be able to travel up to four flights of stairs carrying construction supplies and equipment. </li></ul> <p>Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
