Under the ownership of First Atlantic Healthcare, Marshall Health Care follows in First Atlantic's long standing reputation for excellence in Long Term Care</p> <p>Marshall is Music & Memory certified and is a 5-STAR facility.</p> <p>Van Driver/Maintenance Coordinator</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Van Driver/Maintenance coordinator's the primary purpose is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations, a facility established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful a maintenance program is maintained at all times. The maintenance coordinator is responsible to meet or exceed all resident and visitor's expectations. The The maintenance coordinator will be energetic and will combine applicable professional knowledge with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>The following list of duties includes primary responsibilities, but is not all-inclusive:</p> <ul> <li>Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures. </li><li>Clean windows and screens as directed. </li><li>Replace burned-out light bulks, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, and room call lights, and perform cleaning duties whenever necessary. </li><li>Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor. </li><li>Be in an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and emergencies in conjunction with the maintenance staff at the facility. </li><li>Transport residents to and from appointments as scheduled. </li><li>Promotes the facility philosophy of care and mission statement. </li><li>Communicate any vehicle maintenance needs to the Maintenance Manager </li><li></li></ul> <p>Specific Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, writes, speak and understand the English language. </li><li>Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. </li><li>Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and visitors. </li><li>Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies. </li><li>Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. </li><li>Ability to comprehend and practice generally recognized safety principles and procedures. </li><li>Ability to effectively listen and communicate with others. </li><li>Ability to remain pleasant, cheerful, tactful, respectful, and courteous when interacting with Residents, Visitors, and other Employees. </li><li>Ability to remain levelheaded and calm in emergencies. </li><li>Ability to cooperate with other personnel and resolve interpersonal conflicts independently or with minimal assistance. </li><li>Ability to treat information as confidential material. </li><li>Willingness to accept suggestions and direction from the supervisor or their designee. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent </li><li>Experience preferred but not required, on the job training provided. </li><li>At least 18 (eighteen) years of age and a valid Maine driver's license. </li></ul> <p>We want to support your work and life balance and would love to speak with you about what interests you!</p> <ul> <li>Flexible Shifts </li><li>Tuition and education reimbursement </li><li>Access to full benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and disability </li><li>Flexible savings account, including medical & dependent care </li><li>Paid Time Off available to all employees </li><li>401(k) Retirement savings program with employer contribution </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li></ul> <p>All job offers are contingent upon receiving excellent references and passing the Maine State Background Check.</p>
