<p>Position Objective: The Project Specialist will provide comprehensive project coordination and operational support to the United States Capitol Police (USCP) across human capital management, acquisition management, and organizational development initiatives. This role is responsible for supporting daily operations, process improvement, and project implementation for the Office of Human Resources (OHR), Office of Acquisition Management (OAM), and Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing (OBIC), ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of USCP's HR and acquisition programs.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate, track, and support a variety of projects across HR, acquisition, and credentialing functions to ensure timely completion of deliverables. </li><li>Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing project tasks, meetings, and milestones for OHR, OAM, and OBIC. </li><li>Prepare, edit, and maintain project documentation, reports, presentations, and status updates for management and stakeholders. </li><li>Support the development and implementation of HR and acquisition policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process improvements. </li><li>Assist with the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOW), acquisition plans, and related procurement documentation. </li><li>Collect, analyze, and report data to support project evaluation, compliance, and process improvement. </li><li>Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, stakeholder engagement, and special projects. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal HR and acquisition policies and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Facilitate communication between project teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners. </li><li>Support change management, user adoption, and training activities for new processes, systems, or policies. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate, track, and support a variety of projects across HR, acquisition, and credentialing functions to ensure timely completion of deliverables. </li><li>Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing project tasks, meetings, and milestones for OHR, OAM, and OBIC. </li><li>Prepare, edit, and maintain project documentation, reports, presentations, and status updates for management and stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical staff. </li><li>Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects. </li><li>This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by this position. </li></ul> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
