This position involves providing targeted support to educators, facilitating professional learning, coordinating assessment strategies, and ensuring that literacy initiatives align with state and local standards, including the READ ACT. The Instructional Coach will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school and district staff to enhance instructional, curricula, and assessment practices, in addition to multilingual, special education, gifted and talented programs, and supporting the implementation of a Multi-tiered System of Support to improve student outcomes.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Listed below are the essential tasks performed to achieve the purpose of this job. </li><li> <p>Develop and deliver differentiated professional learning opportunities to address the diverse needs of teachers in early literacy, elementary literacy and preschool,, including multilingual learning, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, and the Multi-Tiered System of Support.</p> </li><li> <p>Support teachers in implementing innovative instructional methods and technologies within PK - 5th grade classrooms.</p> </li></ul> <p>W</p> <p>30%</p> <p>Curriculum and Instructional Planning:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with teachers to align curriculum and instructional materials with state and local standards, including the READ ACT.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide guidance on best practices for multilingual learning, ensuring that instruction is inclusive enrollment strategies, working to enhance accessibility for all eligible students.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the renewal and compliance processes for child care licensing, ensuring that preschool programs adhere to regulatory standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and administer readiness assessments for preschool students, collaborating with teachers to analyze results and inform instructional planning.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement strategies to support preschoolers in developing essential foundational skills necessary for a successful transition to elementary literacy.</p> </li><li> <p>Design and deliver targeted professional learning opportunities for preschool teachers, addressing specific needs identified through data analysis, observations, and evolving early childhood education practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, incorporating this knowledge into professional learning secondary literacy and PK-12 social studies.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the Innovation Coach to research instructional technology related to improved student achievement for the purpose of making recommendations and assisting with the design and implementation.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging educators to explore new approaches and methodologies.</p> </li></ul> <p>W</p> <p>5%</p> <p>Professional Learning Coordination:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plan, organize, and coordinate professional learning opportunities for teachers related to early literacy, elementary literacy, preschool programming, and literacy assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current with research and trends in literacy education to inform the development of relevant
