<p>Job Title: Senior ElectroMechanical Integration Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Senior ElectroMechanical Integration Engineer will play a vital role in the R&D organization, contributing significantly to the development of the next generation robotic platform that aims to transform the future of healthcare. This position involves working on the development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies, from prototype to verification builds and tests, within a regulated medical device development environment. The role is ideal for a hands-on, senior-level R&D engineer with multi-disciplinary knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, skilled in integrating complex electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, configuration management, and advising on design improvements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and upgrade the fleet of robotic systems for R&D development. </li><li>Lead system configuration management to support system traceability for various R&D activities. </li><li>Conduct disciplined system troubleshooting activities in collaboration with different engineering disciplines. </li><li>Author relevant documents related to process improvements. </li><li>Develop test methods and protocols, execute tests, prepare reports, and release them via Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). </li><li>Support system builds, inventory management, and procurement activities. </li><li>Lead and support detailed planning including Bill of Materials (BOM), procurement, and future builds. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in a complex electromechanical system R&D environment. </li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. An Associate's degree with exceptional experience is acceptable. </li><li>Experience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical devices or aerospace. </li><li>Proven hands-on experience in the assembly and testing of electro-mechanical systems. </li><li>Ability to deconstruct complex problems into manageable components for effective solutions. </li><li>Proficiency in fixture and process validation. </li><li>Experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership. </li><li>Project management experience including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structures. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Outstanding documentation and communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in using MS Office. </li><li>Knowledge of industry best practices for developing complex electromechanical systems. </li><li>Experience in design transfer or new product introduction is desired. </li><li>CAD proficiency with a preference for Solidworks. </li><li>Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/A), Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis. </li><li>Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and ECOs. </li><li>Experience in developing production-level and support documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions. </li><li>Experience using, modifying, and programming in MATLAB Simulink or LabView. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment includes both office and lab settings, providing a dynamic atmosphere for innovation and development in cutting-edge technology that will revolutionize surgery.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $78.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
