<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Assurance Associate, Risk Advisory Services is responsible for partnering with more experienced Risk Advisory Services professionals to provide risk consulting and issues resolution to clients in the areas of SOX, business process improvement, information technology, audit and fraud investigations. In this role, the Associate will participate in various stages of an internal audit or consulting engagement and provide assistance with planning, field work, engagement wrap up and report composition.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assists with the informational interviews and facilitation of meetings with clients during engagement process </li><li>Obtains information, documents and data from clients to support the completion of analysis and research of client issues </li><li>Documents and analyzes the client's processes, risk and controls with guidance and direction from senior Risk Advisory Services professionals </li><li>Develops initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issues </li><li>Utilizes research tools, databases and trade publications to develop understanding of client's industry </li><li>Develops relationships with client personnel and management members </li><li>Assists with the research and drafting of proposals </li><li>Maintains all documentation and work papers associated with client engagements </li><li>Other duties as required </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, required </li><li>MBA, preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Experience within a public accounting firm or Fortunate 1000 company performing internal audit, consulting or risk services, preferred </li></ul> <p>License/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>CPA, preferred </li><li>Actively pursuing completion of CPA licensing, preferred </li></ul> <p>Software:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required </li></ul> <p>Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writing </li><li>Strong analytical and basic research skills </li><li>Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details </li><li>Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment </li><li>Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously </li><li>Ability to travel 20% of the time </li></ul> <p>Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.</p> <p>California Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p> <p>Colorado Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p> <p>Illinois Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p> <p>Maryland Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p> <p>Minnesota Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p> <p>NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p> <p>Washington Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p> <p>Washington DC Range: $68,500 - $78,000</p>
