<p>Responsibilities Related is seeking a highly skilled and service-driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team at Willets Point, one of New York City's most transformative new developments. This unique role blends the sophistication of luxury property management with the responsibility of overseeing affordable housing compliance and community operations. Project Details: Willets Point | Related As the right hand to the General Manager, you will help lead day-to-day operations, inspire on-site teams, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and deliver a resident experience that reflects the highest standards of hospitality and care. The AGM will play a critical role in shaping this landmark community into a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving environment for all residents. Key Responsibilities include: Partner with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of property operations, ensuring seamless resident experiences and efficient building performance. Lead, mentor, and support staff across concierge, resident services, maintenance, and security, creating a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality. Manage affordable housing compliance requirements, including certifications, reporting, and audits, while ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with the leasing team to meet occupancy and retention goals, ensuring smooth and welcoming move-in/move-out processes for both market-rate and affordable housing residents. Serve as a trusted liaison for residents, handling escalated concerns with empathy and professionalism, and driving initiatives to elevate overall resident satisfaction. Oversee vendor contracts and relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, quality service delivery, and alignment with property standards. Assist with financial oversight, including budget preparation, expense monitoring, and performance reporting; proactively identify opportunities for operational improvements. Monitor building systems, amenities, and common areas to maintain superior presentation, safety, and functionality. Support community engagement programs, events, and resident services that foster connection, inclusion, and long-term satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all company policies, housing regulations, and safety protocols, balancing the expectations of both luxury living and affordable housing operations. Step in as acting General Manager when needed, ensuring consistent leadership and operational excellence. Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Anticipated base salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams while balancing operational efficiency and resident satisfaction. Experience in leasing up luxury residential, hotel, or mixed-use property management strongly preferred. Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
