<p>The purpose of this class is to perform administrative and technical work in support of the College's communications and/or network infrastructure.</p> <p>Associate's degree and three years of IT experience or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or Telecommunications preferred and one (1) years of IT experience. Knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting procedures. Industry and Network Certifications preferred such as; Net+, Security+ and CCNA certifications preferred.</p> <ul> <li>Provide technical support for ongoing projects within the Information Technology department. </li><li>Serve as a member of the team which provides Tier III support to the Support Center, including the Help Desk. </li><li>Diagnose problems escalated by the Support Center and Tech Support Staff. </li><li>Install, configure, administer, and maintain of network infrastructure. </li><li>Install, configure, administer, and maintain telephone infrastructure. </li><li>Perform network security risk assessments, incident response, and remediation. </li><li>Provide support for upgrades, rollouts and special projects, and events, as required. </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and administer the CCBC telephone systems and all peripheral systems, such as UPS, voicemail, unified communications, contact centers, etc. </li><li>Diagnose advanced network and telecommunication problems. </li><li>Maintain advanced knowledge and utilization of network utilities. </li><li>Create technical knowledge solutions for posting in the Help Desk knowledge base. </li><li>Perform security analysis, as required and remediate findings. </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
