This postion is needed from October 31, 2025 - December 19, 2025.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Long term sub for Harrison Elementary </li><li>Second grade - self-contained </li><li>This is position is from October 31, 2025 - December 19, 2025 </li></ul> <p>Salary Schedule:</p> <p>Days 1-10 - $105 per day</p> <p>Days 11-20 - $125 per day</p> <p>Days 21 - 59 - $150</p> <p>Day 60+ - Teacher salary contract for the remainder time served</p> <p>Teacher hired will be paid for the first 59 days through HCESC's Aesop Substitute Teaching System. Candidate must also apply through www.Subsolutions.org.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide instruction and support in a self-contained 2nd grade classroom setting, adapting lessons to meet students' individualized needs. </li><li>Implement formal and informal assessments, collecting data to monitor progress toward IEP goals. </li><li>Support students in developing appropriate communication skills to increase independence in school and at home. </li><li>Maintain ongoing communication with parents/guardians, including written reports, phone calls, and participation in scheduled conferences. </li><li>Follow federal, state, and district guidelines for evaluation, placement, and programming for students receiving special education services. </li><li>Create and implement individualized daily schedules that reflect each student's academic, social, and functional goals. </li><li>Collaborate with related service providers, outside agencies, and families to ensure effective IEP implementation. </li><li>Partner with fellow special education teachers and general education staff to design and deliver comprehensive support programs. </li><li>Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment. </li><li>Demonstrate working knowledge of Ohio's Learning Standards-Extended to guide instruction and student growth. </li></ul> <p>Qualification Profile:</p> <ul> <li>Certification/License - Educator licensure is preferred, Substitute licensure will be considered. </li><li>Passing Background and Fingerprint examination. </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties:</p> <p>Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.</p> <p>Note:The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities.
